Hey...Let me introduce myself!

Welcome to my blog!

If this is your first time here…
Yay!!! You found me!

If you’ve been here before, thanks for coming back!

My name is Teras; pronounced Terez {my name gets mispronounced more than you can imagine} I was born in LA {Baton Rouge, Louisiana} about 2hrs from New Orleans. And I lived in a little town called New Roads.

My dad, a career Air Force man married, my homecoming queen, cake baker, soccer coach, fabric flower making mama, because he fell head over heels in love with the idea of being my daddy.  So he whisked us away to Japan, leaving behind all of our family and friends.

While in Japan, my parents gave me the best gift ever…My Mookie {my big little sister}.  Our military family has lived in some pretty cool places and that’s where I think I get my diversity.

I truly believe my passion, drive and ump comes from my grandmother {Ms. Emma}.  She passed at the age of 96.  My grandmother was an undercover SUPER woman.  During her sudden illness, she revealed that years prior, she coordinated her entire Homegoing Service.  She wrote the order of services, named her speakers and listed her songs.

Wow!!

She was the type of woman that never met a stranger and had no problem confronting any type of adversity.  {Including the KKK}. She was the REAL social butterfly.  She could talk for hours about anything.  She is also the reason I have a love for mason jars.  They were her favorite drinking glasses.

I am the proud mother of 4 AMAZING kids {3 girls + 1 boy}, 2 adults and 2 teenagers.  Our oldest is a 3rd grade teacher and our son is in the United States Navy {HOOYAH}.  My husband is my super hero, my corporate sponsor and my toughest critic.  Together we have traveled the world on the “Love Tour”.

I started in the wedding industry as a wedding planner/stationery designer/balloon artist.  But life happened and I had to make a decision on what truly made me happy.  And that was playing with paper.  I can remember as a little girl, pretending to type on my typewriter and writing notes to my pen pals. {Remember those? ~ I’m showing my age} LOL

A few years ago, I fell in Love with designing again and here we are!
